On Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, 7 PM, pianist Heather O'Donnell will perform a new work by Louis Karchin, commissioned by Perspectives of New Music for an 80th birthday celebration of the composer, Charles Wuorinen, entitled A Jersey Reverie on New York Notes. Part of a "Wuorinen Week" at Eastman, the concert will include 10 compositions written for the Perspectives volume for Spring 2019, including pieces by John Zorn, Tobias Picker, and Eleanor Cory, among other composers.
